How do we know that a coach education program does what it claims to do? The process of accreditation ensures that educational programs can deliver the outcomes they promise. NCACE (the National Committee for Accreditation of Coaching Education) is the accreditation body for coach education and coach development programs in the United States. This video is a tutorial for program directors that are interested in seeking NCACE Accreditation. This form of accreditation is for comprehensive programs that address all 42 of the National Standards for Sport Coaches. Usually, these programs will be located in colleges and universities, but there are some governing bodies that conduct comprehensive accreditation programs, and this would be an appropriate pathway.
